On May 17th, the fifth China Academy of Sciences Craftsmen Forum was grandly unveiled. Wu Zhaohui, Vice President and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the event and delivered a speech, presenting awards to the winning representatives. Zheng Jinping, Vice Chairman of the China Education, Science, Culture, Health and Sports Workers' Union and a member of the Party Group, also attended the event and gave a speech. Fang Zizheng, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the China Academy of Sciences' directly affiliated institutions, read out the commendation decision.

On behalf of the Party Group of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Wu Zhaohui extended warm congratulations to the teams and individuals who won the title of "Master of Science" in the fifth China Science Academy Science Garden. He emphasized the need to resolutely implement the series of important instructions and directives on scientific and technological innovation by General Secretary Xi Jinping, focusing on national strategic needs and the forefront of world science and technology, and accelerating the capture of a group of technological high grounds. He stressed that achieving high-level technological self-reliance and self-strengthening is inseparable from the leading role of strategic scientists and technological leaders, as well as the unique skills of a large number of highly skilled talents. He urged all employees of the Academy to take the "Master of Science" as a role model, adhere to the original aspiration of serving the country with science and technology, uphold the spirit of craftsmanship, continuously enhance their scientific and technological innovation capabilities and the level of key engineering technology research, and make new contributions to achieving high-level technological self-reliance and self-strengthening and building a world scientific and technological power.
Zheng Jinping fully affirmed the activities of the Science Garden Masters. He pointed out that the trade union of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has been exploring and taking initiative, focusing on scientific and technological innovation, carrying out the selection and release of Science Garden Masters, and setting up a Science Garden Masters exhibition area for two consecutive sessions at the Great Country Craftsman Innovation Exchange Conference hosted by the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, showcasing the unique spirit and temperament of science and technology workers.
A total of 12 teams and 8 individuals were awarded the title of "Master of Science" in the fifth China Science Academy Science Garden. A short film featuring the fifth group of Science Garden Masters was released at the event, telling their stories of perseverance and promoting their spirit of excellence.
During the scientific speeches, researcher Zou Yang from the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics, researcher Shang Xiaodong from the South China Sea Institute of Oceanology, the Ecological Grassland Livestock Technology Innovation Team from the Institute of Botany, the Fossil Specimen Restoration and Protection Technology Team from the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology, and the Lunar and Deep Space Exploration Imaging Technology Research Team from the Xi'an Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics shared their original mission and stories of struggle on the road of scientific research.
Nearly a hundred people, including leaders of the Party Committee of the directly affiliated institutions of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, leaders of some affiliated units of the Academy, award winners, and trade union cadres, participated in the on-site event.
