On May 26th, news broke that Dataland, the once famous AMD (ATI) graphics card brand, has now completely shut down with its official website expiring, bidding us farewell.
Prior to this, Dataland's official flagship stores on JD.com and Tmall have also closed their doors for good.
This is quite a complex matter: Dataland was actually the domestic market agent brand of PowerColor, a graphics card brand under the TUL Group. However, PowerColor later entered the Chinese market on its own, leaving Dataland out of the game.
The last generation of Dataland's products was the RX 6000 series, including the flagship RX 6900 XT. However, they disappeared from the scene when the RX 7000 series came out.
Old players should be familiar with the name "Jingyu," which was a brand under the TUL Group, the same group that owns Sparkle. Jingyu used to produce NVIDIA graphics cards in China but has been gone for many years.
Now, Sparkle has entered the camp of Intel graphics cards and returned to the domestic market with a new name, "Hanyu."
We have also tested the Hanyu Arc A750 Orc OC.
Vertex3D (VTX3D) and Diamond Multimedia are both part of the TUL Group. The former focused on Europe but has gone bankrupt, while the latter, once a well-known brand called Diamond, no longer produces gaming graphics cards and only operates in North America.
It's a reminder of how time can be as sharp as a knife...
