May 30 marks the eighth National Science and Technology Workers' Day. At a recent press conference held by the China Association for Science and Technology, it was revealed that the Chinese Association for Automation will closely focus on the theme of "promoting the spirit of scientists and being the vanguard of high-level scientific and technological self-reliance" to meet the needs of science and technology workers. They are planning a series of "1+5" themed activities, including a main event centered around new productive forces, and five distinctive themed activities focusing on spiritual promotion, academic leadership, rural revitalization, member services, and creating a conducive atmosphere.

On June 2, the Chinese Association for Automation will host the "National New Productive Forces and Intelligent Industry Development Conference," inviting over ten academicians to interpret how "new productive forces" can be innovated and how to strategize for the "future industry." Additionally, they will ceremoniously honor the representatives who received the 2023 Science and Technology Awards from the Chinese Association for Automation to further inspire the innovative spirit and research drive of science and technology workers.

In terms of spiritual promotion, the Chinese Association for Automation will hold a theme event titled "Delivering a Party Lecture and Showcasing the Elegance of a Hundred Youths," inviting academician Gui Weihua from the Chinese Academy of Engineering to give a party lecture on "firm beliefs, staying true to the original aspirations, remembering the mission, and contributing to the country," showcasing the dedication of older generation scientists to serving the people. Leveraging the association's integrated media platform, they will invite a hundred young science and technology workers to share their personal growth stories and research experiences to motivate the young science and technology workers of the new era to dedicate themselves to research and diligently seek knowledge.

Regarding the theme of academic leadership, from May 15 to May 31, the Chinese Association for Automation will conduct 10 sessions of 530 specialized lectures to meet the academic needs of science and technology workers.

For the rural revitalization theme, the Chinese Association for Automation will organize a team of one hundred science communicators to visit grassroots communities. From May to June, they will focus on Tianjin, Hubei, and Hong Kong to conduct a series of science communication activities, including delivering science lectures and donating a batch of science books.

In terms of member services, they will offer a variety of member activities to create a warm environment and build a home beloved by science and technology workers.

Regarding the atmosphere creation theme, the Chinese Association for Automation will actively collaborate with provincial-level associations and branch offices to collect a wide range of blessing videos and promotional works. These will be broadcasted on the association's integrated media platform. Leveraging the association's volunteer service platform, they will solicit calligraphy and paintings paying tribute to scientists from the public to expand the coverage and influence of the activities, enhancing the pride, sense of achievement, and sense of belonging of science and technology workers.
