Word on the street is that BMW's next-gen X concept car has just made its grand debut. It's set to become the blueprint for the future of BMW's X family. The production version is expected to roll off the line in the second half of 2025 at the Debrecen plant in Hungary (rumored to be the all-new BMW iX3).
When it comes to looks, it's rocking the same design language as BMW's new-gen Vision concept cars. The most striking feature is the return of the double-kidney grille, now merged with the horizontal headlights. Throw in the LED lights, and it's got some serious presence. Plus, it's got a cool welcome light show to amp up the drama.
The taillights are shaped like the headlights, with a relatively large surface area, but they do not feature the common through-style design. The internal light source has a very unique design and can be controlled individually to create a sense of depth.
Drive System
The official specs for the powertrain haven't been released yet, but the car will feature BMW's sixth-generation eDrive electric drive technology. In addition to the improved drive system, the car will have cylindrical cells and an 800-volt high-voltage electrical system, enabling it to add 300 kilometers of range in just 10 minutes of charging.
