According to pulsestacks on March 30th, hkepc recently released a report stating that overclocking the ASUS GeForce RTX 4090D ROG STRIX GPU can surpass the performance of the stock RTX 4090.
The RTX 4090D is mainly sold in the domestic market, equipped with 14592 CUDA cores, a decrease of 11% compared to the original model; additionally, the TGP has been reduced by 25W to 425W.
Although most RTX 4090D graphics cards are restricted from overclocking, the ASUS GeForce RTX 4090D ROG STRIX card has lifted the overclocking limitations, boosting the TGP from 425W to 600W, with the preset GPU Boost clock frequency increased to 2520MHz.
Manually setting the GPU Clock to +200MHz, unlocking the TGP power limit to 141%, and increasing the GPU voltage by +100%, the ROG Strix RTX 4090 D scored 10217 points in 3DMark Speed Way benchmark. GPU-Z software recorded the highest GPU Boost Clock at 3045MHz, the highest Memory Clock at 1312.7MHz, the highest TGP power consumption at 531.9W (125.1% TDP), and the highest GPU Voltage at 1.1V. After overclocking, the Speed Way benchmark score increased by 3.2%.
Manually set GPU Clock +200MHz, MEM Clock +187MHz, TGP power limit unleashed to 141%, GPU voltage +100%. The ROG Strix RTX 4090 D scored 10818 points in 3DMark Speed Way benchmark. GPU-Z recorded the highest GPU Boost Clock at 3045MHz, highest Memory Clock at 1500MHz, highest TGP power consumption at 558.4W (131.4% TDP), and highest GPU Voltage at 1.1V. Overclocking resulted in a 9.3% increase in Speed Way benchmark score.
In the 3DMark Port Royal benchmark, the ROG Strix RTX 4090 D scored 24523 before overclocking and 26666 after overclocking, resulting in a performance increase of 8.7% post-overclocking.
