On April 17th, BYD officially released the official images of its new car, the Qin L.
Positioned as a mid-size sedan, the Qin L fills the market gap between the Qin PLUS (entry-level) and the Han (flagship), a positioning confirmed by the information submitted to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
According to the submitted information, the dimensions of the Qin L are 4830mm x 1900mm x 1495mm, with a wheelbase of 2790mm, indicating its spacious interior.
From the official images, it's evident that the Qin L has undergone significant design evolution, with a larger front grille compared to the Qin PLUS, giving it a more assertive presence. The badge area adopts a design similar to the Song L, enhancing the vehicle's recognition.
Overall, the Qin L presents a poised and elegant posture, with smooth lines and ample dynamism. The rear adopts BYD's familial continuous taillight design, incorporating the same "Chinese knot" style as the Han, elevating its aesthetic appeal to that of a flagship model.
In terms of technology, according to previous disclosures, the Qin L will be equipped with BYD's latest 5th generation DM-i hybrid powertrain system, and will utilize a brand-new chassis designed specifically for hybrid models.
As a plug-in hybrid model, the Qin L offers two battery options: 10.08kWh and 15.87kWh, with corresponding pure electric ranges of 60 kilometers and 90 kilometers respectively, catering to the diverse needs of users.
