The 25th China (Shouguang) International Vegetable Science and Technology Expo Held

Sugar-reducing peppers, fruit peppers, fat-reducing cucumbers, anthocyanin tomatoes... Recently, over 600 new vegetable varieties made their debut at the 25th China (Shouguang) International Vegetable Science and Technology Expo. This year's Vegetable Expo focuses on the theme of "Green, Technology, Future." For the first time, it has implemented the simultaneous opening of the main venue and sub-venues. Li Peng, the Secretary of the Shouguang Municipal Party Committee, stated that vegetables are not only the "industrial landmark" of Shouguang, but also its "golden business card." In recent years, Shouguang has accelerated the development of a national comprehensive vegetable industry service base, with the most authoritative vegetable standards, cutting-edge vegetable seed industry, and top-quality vegetable brands. The exhibition combines on-site planting with booth displays, vegetable horticulture and cultural arts, economic and trade negotiations, and sightseeing tourism. It comprehensively gathers, showcases, exchanges, and promotes new technologies, new varieties, new achievements, and new concepts in the domestic and international vegetable industry and related fields. This year's Vegetable Expo showcases over 80 new varieties and more than 120 new technologies, featuring innovative highlights such as the introduction of new aquaponic systems, vegetable planting management robots, and AI tomato cultivation models. At the expo, a total of 4,392 vegetable varieties from 421 domestic and foreign scientific research and seed companies were showcased. Since 2000, the China (Shouguang) International Vegetable Science and Technology Expo has been successfully held for 24 consecutive sessions. Leveraging the advantages of the Shouguang vegetable industry chain, the Vegetable Expo has evolved from a regional agricultural exhibition to a national AAAAA-level agricultural exhibition. Each session of the Vegetable Expo showcases advanced technologies and cultivation methods in the domestic and international vegetable industry. Over the past 24 years, more than 30 million people have attended the event for learning and exploration.
