The 2024 International Academic Conference on Children and Adolescent Health Promotion

On April 27th to 28th, the 2024 International Academic Conference on Children and Adolescent Health Promotion was held at Jinzhou Medical University. More than 40 renowned experts and scholars from both domestic and international backgrounds gathered to engage in in-depth academic exchanges and practical discussions on children and adolescent health. 662f225be4b03b5da6d0dca3.jpg Jinzhou Medical University Party Secretary and Director of the Jinzhou Medical University Children and Adolescent Health Promotion Collaborative Innovation Center, Professor Wen Deliang, served as the chairman of the conference. The meeting focused on the theme of "Comorbidity, Prevention, and Management Together," featuring a keynote forum on pediatric and adolescent population cohorts and systems biology research, pediatric and adolescent health behavior intervention and intelligent management, and common clinical diagnosis and treatment of pediatric and adolescent diseases, along with forums and a youth forum.

During the opening ceremony, Professor Wen Deliang delivered a speech titled "Focusing on Comorbidity, Taking Multiple Measures for Prevention, Collaborating for Management, and Embarking on a New Journey Together." He expressed his hope that domestic and international experts and scholars in children and adolescent health research could share their research findings at the seminar, strengthen interdisciplinary team exchanges and cooperation, promote intellectual collisions between disciplines, and facilitate joint actions between domestic and foreign entities to collectively contribute to children and adolescent health promotion.

Furthermore, Professor Wen Deliang emphasized the importance of utilizing the international exchange and cooperation platform established at the seminar to create an interdisciplinary international research collaboration network for promoting children and adolescent health, establish an action alliance for promoting children and adolescent health involving government, industry, academia, and research, introduce new interdisciplinary perspectives for preventing and controlling common pediatric and adolescent diseases, and mobilize and leverage the collective efforts of various sectors of society to support children and adolescent health promotion practices, thereby empowering the development of children and adolescent health promotion in China through cutting-edge international research and close collaboration across various sectors domestically.

The opening address was delivered by Jinzhou Medical University Party Deputy Secretary and President Qu Wei.

This international academic conference, focusing on the current challenges facing the development of children and adolescent health promotion, brought together over 40 domestic and international experts and scholars to engage in in-depth academic exchanges and practical discussions on common issues such as childhood obesity, myopia, scoliosis, dental caries, and mental health. Through extensive academic perspectives, they delved into the latest research findings, elaborated on the current status and future development of children and adolescent health promotion from multiple dimensions, and collectively strived to explore sustainable systemic solutions for the development of children and adolescent health.

The academic conference was organized by Jinzhou Medical University, with co-sponsorship from the Discipline Innovation and Intelligence Introduction Base for Comprehensive Prevention and Control of Obesity and Related Chronic Diseases throughout the Lifecycle, the Liaoning Province Collaborative Innovation Center for Smart Health Services, and the China School Health Magazine. The event was hosted by the Jinzhou Medical University Children and Adolescent Health Promotion Collaborative Innovation Center and the School of Public Health at Jinzhou Medical University.
