On March 7th, it was reported that Tesla has launched a two-seat version of the Model Y in France. This variant features only two front seats, with the rear space designed as a flat cargo area suitable for transporting goods or customizable for other purposes.

According to Clément Maguet, a senior customer manager at Tesla, the two-seat Model Y variant offers a storage capacity of 2158 liters in the cabin and a range of up to 565 kilometers (WLTP cycle). Importantly, this model qualifies for tax deductions under France's commercial vehicle tax exemption rules. s_1b5fd17a2bdf417289d3c9e0ef920c9c.png The real photos reveal that the two-seater version of the Model Y has removed the rear seats, and the cargo space is connected to the rear compartment, providing a flat floor; in addition to having a larger cargo space, the range is also 30 kilometers longer than the long-range version of the Model Y.

Tesla has not yet announced the price of the two-seater Model Y, and it is unclear whether this model will only be available in France.

It is reported that in France, commercial vehicles with 2 or 3 seats are exempt from TVA tax (value-added tax), and the two-seater version of the Tesla Model Y can also benefit from this policy.

Currently, there are about 6.3 million commercial vehicles in France, most of which are diesel-powered, and Tesla is accelerating its penetration into the French commercial vehicle market through this approach. s_32355279550a4378b2b6392a11e19e77.png
