On March 9th, the foreign review channel JerryRigEverything recently conducted tests on the ballistic performance of the Tesla Cybertruck pickup.
Using various firearms and different calibers of bullets, the results showed that subsonic bullets (with a velocity below the speed of sound, 340 meters per second) were unable to penetrate the Cybertruck.
For instance, with a Glock 19 handgun paired with 9mm caliber bullets, only minor dents were left on the Cybertruck's body.
For bullets with faster speeds, such as 800 meters per second, the Tesla Cybertruck can be penetrated because it's not a specialized bulletproof vehicle.
Last November, Musk pulled off a big stunt. He claimed that the Tesla team emptied a whole magazine using a Tommy gun and couldn't penetrate the Cybertruck's door panel, confirming its bulletproof capability.
Elon Musk stated that the vehicle is indeed bulletproof, but only against a very limited number of bullets. He mentioned, "The door panels are bulletproof against almost all subsonic bullets."
