On May 21st, in Dongguan, Guangdong, a man fishing encountered a fish with bulging eyes, causing his eyeballs to protrude and bleed. The man suspects the fish may be infected.

Last year, a similar fish with bulging eyes was caught by a netizen. Some suggest that besides hatching deformities and infections, being electrocuted could also lead to such conditions.

Fish that have been electrocuted may suffer internal injuries, causing their bones to deform or break. These fish, often found in natural water bodies, typically have twisted and deformed bodies.

Mr. Zhang mentioned that he had never seen a fish like this before. Tilapia fish normally do not have such large eyes, and this fish's bulging eyeballs with blood around them looked extremely frightening.

Experts noted that from the photos, the bulging eyes of this fish do appear abnormal, but the specific cause requires further testing and analysis.

They pointed out that various factors could lead to fish having bulging eyes, such as disease infections, water pollution, genetic mutations, among others. Among these, disease infection is one of the most common reasons. If the water quality is contaminated or if fish are invaded by parasites, bacteria, or other pathogens, it could result in eye infections and symptoms like bulging eyes. s_24a7c942b40c4b9a9da2a8fec3d9d05d.png
