As of March 21, according to the "Our Space"公众号, at 13:27 today, China successfully launched the Yunhai-2 02 satellite group into orbit using a Long March 2D launch vehicle/Expedition 3 upper stage.
The satellites have successfully entered their designated orbits and the launch mission has been a complete success.
These satellites will play a key role in atmospheric environment monitoring, space environment monitoring, disaster prevention and reduction, and scientific research.
On this flight mission, the Long March 2D/Yuanzheng-3 upper stage delivered the Yunhai-2 02 group of satellites into two designated orbits that were over 600 kilometers apart, breaking China's record for orbital altitude gap in the multi-satellite deployment field of an upper stage.
The Long March 2D, a liquid, two-stage carrier rocket, is known for its single- and multi-satellite launch capabilities with varying orbital requirements. It boasts a payload capacity of 1.3 tons to a sun-synchronous orbit of 700 kilometers in altitude.
The Yuanzheng-3 upper stage is equipped with the capability to perform more than 20 autonomous, rapid orbital maneuvers and is primarily utilized for multi-satellite deployment missions in different orbits.
It enables the direct delivery of multiple satellites to their designated spatial locations, playing a crucial role in entering space quickly and flexibly, as well as in space maneuvering and utilization.
