On April 21st, TCL held a launch event for their premium-grade Mini LED TVs, officially unveiling three new models: Q10K, T7K, and Q10K Pro.
While these products have distinct market positions, they all demonstrate a remarkably aggressive approach in terms of hardware configuration and pricing. TCL's move is set to intensify competition in the entire Mini LED TV market.
The T7K, introduced in this launch, is positioned as an entry-level product in the realm of Mini LED TVs. The T7K comes in five size variants: 55 inches, 65 inches, 75 inches, 85 inches, and 98 inches, with initial prices set at ¥3299, ¥4299, ¥5999, ¥7999, and ¥13999 respectively.
The T7K TV boasts a peak brightness of XDR 1600 nits and a dynamic contrast ratio of 16 million:1 for its crucial screen panel. It features a 98% quantum dot wide color gamut and 95% full-screen color purity. Additionally, TCL pledges that this TV can maintain its color integrity for up to 100,000 hours, ensuring at least a decade of usage for the average user.

Additionally, in terms of the crucial partition count for Mini LED TVs, the TCL T7K comes with 384 zones for the 55-inch model, 512 zones for the 65-inch model, 640 zones for the 75-inch model, 800 zones for the 85-inch model, and 960 zones for the 98-inch model.
For an entry-level product, the partition count of the TCL T7K is actually quite respectable. Although there's a gap compared to flagship Mini LED TVs, the picture quality is still significantly better than regular LCD TVs.
The TCL Q10K series, on the other hand, targets the flagship market with its high-end offerings. It comes in four sizes: 65, 75, 85, and 98 inches, with starting prices of 6499 yuan, 8499 yuan, 10999 yuan, and 19999 yuan respectively.

As a more advanced product, the TCL Q10K features a significantly increased number of backlight zones. The 65-inch version has 1512 zones, the 75-inch version has 2160 zones, the 85-inch version has 2304 zones, and the 98-inch version has 2592 zones. Compared to the earlier Q10H model, the Q10K has a greater number of zones.
The TCL Q10K 65-inch version boasts a peak brightness of 3500 nits, while other sizes reach an astonishing 3800 nits. With such high peak brightness, the TCL Q10K can effectively showcase stunning HDR video content, satisfying the needs of movie enthusiasts.
Equipped with a 2.1.2-channel Hi-Fi-grade sound system featuring 7 units and 90W of power, the Q10 delivers impressive audio quality, enhancing the overall audiovisual experience.
Q10K Pro: The Ultimate Flagship TV
At this launch event, the most anticipated product was undoubtedly the Q10K Pro, which TCL even dubbed the "sole super flagship," highlighting its significance.
The TCL Q10K Pro comes in four sizes: 65, 75, 85, and 98 inches, with the number of dimming zones maxed out. The 65-inch version boasts 3024 dimming zones, the 75-inch version has 4032 dimming zones, while the 85 and 98-inch versions feature a staggering 5184 dimming zones.

In terms of brightness, the Q10KPro performs exceptionally well, with the 65-inch model at 5000 nits and other sizes at 5500 nits.
Additionally, this TV offers a targeted solution to the halo effect problem common in Mini LED TVs. It is equipped with TCL's comprehensive halo control system, which uses a six-core LED chip and HVA wide-angle low-reflection screen to address this issue.
Compared to the previous two models, the Q10KPro's main advantage is undoubtedly its significantly enhanced screen brightness and a greater number of backlight zones. For the average consumer, the Q10KPro may be the top-spec Mini LED TV available.
However, despite its luxurious features, the Q10KPro is priced very attractively: the launch price for the 65-inch model is 7,999 yuan, the 75-inch model is 10,999 yuan, the 85-inch model is 14,999 yuan, and the 98-inch model is 23,999 yuan.
