According to China Railway Construction, on May 27, the China Railway Construction Major Research Project "Key Technology Research on Construction of 600 km/h Constant-Guidance High-Speed Maglev" led by the Fourth Survey and Design Institute of China Railway Construction was successfully completed in Wuhan.
Constant-guidance high-speed maglev utilizes electromagnetic force for suspension, specifically employing electromagnetic attraction between electromagnetic coils and high-permeability magnetic materials to achieve contactless suspension between the train and the track through automatic closed-loop control.
During the research, the Fourth Survey and Design Institute of China Railway Construction invented a functional track beam integrated structure suitable for full coverage of bridges, roads, and tunnels; developed adjustable supports in multiple directions to meet precision requirements for construction and maintenance; and innovatively designed specialized equipment for construction and operation of constant-guidance high-speed maglev to enhance construction efficiency and reduce operational complexity.
The project lasted for 4 years, resulting in a total of 70 patents (including 45 invention patents), 4 products, 3 construction methods, 2 processes, and 1 software copyright.
This research fills the gaps in China's existing constant-guidance high-speed maglev technology in terms of independent intellectual property rights, systematic industrial chain, and application in engineering fields.
