On May 10th, according to reports from multiple domestic media outlets, it is expected that from tonight until the 12th, some areas in the eastern part of Southwest China, Jiangnan, and South China will experience heavy rain or rainstorms, with accumulated precipitation of 30-80 millimeters in some areas, locally reaching 100-150 millimeters.

Experts indicate that this round of rainfall in the south will still be dominated by convective precipitation, with some areas experiencing large accumulations of rainfall and intense short-term rainfall. Parts of Guizhou, Hunan, Jiangxi, and Hubei provinces will see short-term heavy rainfall, with hourly precipitation of 30-60 millimeters, locally exceeding 70 millimeters. People should be cautious of severe convective weather.

For residents, it is advisable to avoid going out during heavy rain, and if necessary, try to bypass areas with severe waterlogging. Pay attention to surroundings, walk close to buildings, and prevent falling into manholes or pits.

When drivers encounter deep water accumulation on roads or under overpasses, they should try to detour rather than forcefully passing through. Cars may stall in low-lying areas during rainy days, and it is crucial not to wait inside the vehicle. Instead, exit the car and wait for rescue in a higher place.

If outdoor water floods into indoor spaces, immediately cut off the power supply to prevent electric shock from the flooded water. s_7627057e13f14de2be6e6fce1aea6c7b.png
