On May 20th, Sony unveiled its latest high-end flagship, the Xperia 1 VI. The Hong Kong version with 12+256GB storage is priced at 9699 Hong Kong dollars (approximately 9000 RMB).

The most significant change in the Xperia 1 VI compared to its predecessor is the removal of the 21:9 4K screen, now replaced with an FHD+ display. s_d023b7c1af8848ef89d9058cf0d57180.png It is reported that the reason Sony Xperia 1 VI dropped the 4K screen is because current 4K panels cannot support dynamic refresh rates and are limited to either 60Hz or 120Hz.

Moreover, the 4K resolution is only triggered in specific scenarios and cannot be globally applied. For instance, in apps like Netflix or some mobile games, the screen can only render at 1080P.

Therefore, Sony Xperia 1 VI adjusted the screen to 1080P, achieving a dynamic refresh rate adjustment from 1-120Hz, resulting in more power efficiency.

Additionally, Xperia 1 VI debuts with Sony's Sunlight Vision technology, enhancing screen brightness by 50%, making it clearer and more visible in outdoor environments.

Furthermore, Xperia 1 VI has received Sony's BRIVIA certification, allowing consumers to fully enjoy stunning visual performance and immersive sound effects. s_f7e3986fdd4e4a2ab5fda87afb634c14.png
