In the apology letter, SmartCar stated:
During the "Beyond All Desires" SmartCar L6 super-intelligent sedan launch event, there was an error in labeling a key parameter in the presentation of Xiaomi SU7, which has been recently discussed in the same segment. This error occurred due to a team oversight in content review. We would like to clarify the following:
The front and rear motors of the Xiaomi SU7 Max adopt SIC silicon carbide modules, consistent with the technology used in the SmartCar L6, both adhering to industry-leading technological standards.
Xiaomi's automobile division and its SU7 product are esteemed competitors of ours! We deeply apologize for the negative impact on Xiaomi's automotive brand due to an internal oversight. We sincerely apologize to all our fans and users! @Xiaomi Spokesperson
On the evening of April 8th, a spokesperson for Xiaomi issued three consecutive statements, urging Zhiji Corporation to immediately clarify and offer a formal apology to the misled public.
Xiaomi stated that Zhiji Corporation, during tonight's press conference, inaccurately labeled key parameters of the Xiaomi SU7 Max, resulting in extremely detrimental consequences.
Xiaomi emphasizes that both the front and rear motors of the Xiaomi SU7 Max are made of silicon carbide, ensuring excellent performance and endurance.
Xiaomi states: "We welcome fair competition and exchanges, and strongly oppose the spreading of rumors and smears that distort facts."
