On May 23rd, according to reports, following the debut of the M4 chip in the iPad Pro, Apple's Mac mini will also skip the M3 chip and jump directly from M2 to M4, with the new product expected to be launched as early as the end of this year.

It is reported that the standard version of the Mac mini will be equipped with the M4 chip, while the high-end version will feature the M4 Pro chip.

Previously leaked information indicates that the Apple M4 series has planned three versions: M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max, with M4 Pro codenamed Brava, and M4 Max codenamed Hidra.

These three chips all use TSMC's 3nm process technology, starting with at least a 10-core CPU, delivering strong performance.

Furthermore, both the M4 Pro and M4 Max will support hardware-accelerated ray tracing. In specific applications, this feature can simulate the behavior of light in a scene, presenting vivid and realistic visuals.

Game developers can utilize ray tracing technology to create more detailed and accurate shadows and reflections, thereby crafting highly immersive environments.

Additionally, the M4 Pro and M4 Max will bring hardware-accelerated mesh shading, achieving a dual enhancement in graphics processing capability and energy efficiency. s_0026943bc89b4e7bb858173d60a75a33.png
