On April 17th, according to the China Manned Space Engineering Office, the Shenzhou-18 manned spaceship, along with the Long March-2F Y18 carrier rocket, has been transported to the launch site.
Currently, the launch site's facilities and equipment are in good condition. Subsequent activities will include scheduled pre-launch functional checks, joint testing, and the planned launch will be carried out in the coming days.
According to media reports, the Shenzhou-19 spacecraft, serving as a backup vessel, has also completed its testing.
At this moment, it sits alongside the Changzheng-2F Y19 carrier rocket in the assembly and testing facility, ready for emergency rescue duty in case of any unforeseen circumstances.
In 2024, China's manned spaceflight program will advance two major missions: the application and development of the space station, and manned lunar exploration.
While meticulously organizing and implementing tasks for the application and development phase of the space station, efforts to achieve the goal of landing the first Chinese on the moon by 2030 are underway. In 2024, construction work for the lunar exploration mission's landing phase will intensify.
