On May 2nd, it was reported that Cathay Pacific flight CX341 on the evening of April 30th failed to land twice due to severe convective weather, experiencing intense turbulence and weightlessness in the air, leaving passengers terrified.

The CX341 flight was scheduled to depart from Shanghai Hongqiao to Hong Kong at 16:30 that day but was delayed until 19:10.

According to passenger Ms. Wang, the flight experienced continuous turbulence and slight weightlessness throughout the journey. Before landing, the plane circled over the sea. Upon reaching Hong Kong airspace, the first landing attempt failed, almost overshooting the runway. The aircraft then rapidly climbed from 300 meters to around 2500 meters. Without seat belts, passengers feared being thrown around.

"You could hear the friction between the plane and the air, and everyone in the cabin was screaming."

After circling for a while, the plane attempted to land in Hong Kong again but failed once more.

The captain explained over the intercom that it was due to the weather. The flight attendants remained calm, but with continuous lightning outside, passengers were terrified. The severe turbulence caused many to vomit, some cried, and others shouted, "Captain, keep it up," leading to chaos inside the cabin.

Another passenger mentioned, "My bottom left the seat at least three or four times, and everything in my bag flew out. It was beyond turbulence; the feeling of weightlessness was too terrifying... I never want to experience this again in my life. Praying for everyone's safety."

At midnight, the plane made an emergency landing in Shenzhen for refueling. It took off again after 2 a.m. and finally landed safely in Hong Kong at 2:42 a.m. s_a5ec43d291814e778c1692a6e4c6455f.png
