Shanghai Jiao Tong University's "Scholar Challenge Program" Kicks Off in 2024

On March 30th, Shanghai Jiao Tong University hosted the launching ceremony for the 2024 "Scholar Challenge Program." Over 2,000 high school freshmen and more than a hundred principals from key middle schools gathered online to discuss the integrated cultivation of top-notch innovative talents in both high schools and universities.

This year marks the fourth year of the "Scholar Challenge Program." Building upon the experiences gained from the pilot phases conducted in the previous three years, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, for the first time, opened offline registration to key middle schools in Shanghai. It also offers a variety of themed challenge camps to provide a multi-layered, comprehensive experience in academic exploration. Through a combination of classroom lectures, case studies, and hands-on practices, students are provided with a platform and space for mutual inspiration, enlightenment, and challenges, enabling them to continuously discover their academic potential and explore new academic heights.

It is understood that leveraging the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Student Innovation Center and related course colleges, the 2023 challenge camp curriculum covers various professional directions and course modules, including robotics, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, smart manufacturing, innovative design, and management competitions. The teaching process is primarily based on student practical operations, engaging hand-eye coordination and cognitive skills, making the learning experience both enjoyable and interactive. In 2024, the university will further expand the course content and platforms, deeply integrating university culture with scientific spirit, fostering constant collisions of thoughts, and turning creativity into instant reality.
