On March 28th, a seminar on the inauguration of "Science Education in Primary and Secondary Schools," hosted by the People's Education Press (hereinafter referred to as PEP), was held in Beijing.

"Science Education in Primary and Secondary Schools" was officially launched in January 2024, under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and hosted by PEP. The journal aims to disseminate the concept of science education in primary and secondary schools, exchange research results in science education, promote the integration and connection of science education in Chinese schools with social science popularization, and serve the cultivation of talents in fundamental disciplines of the country. The sections include the growth history of scientists, the spirit of scientists, scientists' views on education, science curriculum, and textbooks.

Huang Qiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of PEP, pointed out that PEP has always attached great importance to science education in primary and secondary schools. In the process of developing, compiling, and editing the latest set of compulsory education textbooks, the latest achievements reflecting China's scientific and technological innovation have been organically integrated, enhancing the cutting-edge content of textbooks and the appropriateness of teaching.

He stated that PEP will take the inauguration of "Science Education in Primary and Secondary Schools" as an opportunity to conscientiously create high-quality textbooks that nurture the soul and wisdom, strengthen the interaction between books and journals, deepen the integration of print and digital media, and make new and greater contributions to promoting the high-quality development of educational publishing, supporting the cultivation of innovative talents, and assisting in China's modernization efforts with Chinese characteristics. 6606534de4b03b5da6d0bfc7.png On-site symposium.
