Save up to a thousand yuan on towing fees! Mobile power bank launched on Han-Yi Expressway rescue: 5 minutes charge for 20 kilometers

On May 3rd, it's a nightmare for electric vehicles to run out of power and come to a halt, as they can't refuel like gasoline cars. They have to be towed to a charging station, with towing fees ranging from hundreds to thousands of yuan, making rescue costs extremely high.

According to domestic media reports, during the May Day holiday this year, the Chu Tian Expressway introduced several NIO electric vehicles and V2V vehicle charging equipment, greatly alleviating the highway range anxiety of new energy vehicle owners.

It was reported that on the Han-Yi Expressway section from Maozui to Qianjiang, Mr. Wei, an electric vehicle owner, ran out of battery power and got stranded on the highway.

Upon receiving the distress call, Chu Tian Expressway emergency rescue team used a "mobile power bank" for Mr. Wei, which transferred the power from their NIO rescue vehicle to another new energy vehicle through the V2V device.

Charging for 5 minutes can extend the range by about 20 kilometers, allowing the rescued vehicle to reach the next toll station or service area for charging. The entire rescue process takes less than 10 minutes, achieving the goal of rapid rescue.

According to Du Bin, head of the Chu Tian Expressway New Energy Project Department, the introduction of the "vehicle-to-vehicle charging" device is lightweight, compact, easy to operate, and has high power output. With rescue times under 10 minutes, it significantly improves rescue efficiency. s_3f02a08d2abd45f6b9d57cdf027aa540.png
