Saudi Arabia is planning to construct a "Dragon Ball" theme park, and just the thought of riding the Shenron roller coaster is thrilling!
Ever wondered how the wealthy indulge in their love for anime? Well, the answer seems to be building a theme park. Saudi Arabia recently made headlines with its ambitious plan to create a "Dragon Ball" theme park, spanning an estimated 500,000 square meters and featuring at least 30 attractions, including a colossal Shenron-themed roller coaster.
From the promotional material, it's clear that this theme park will be divided into seven distinct areas, each inspired by the seven Dragon Balls. The iconic landmarks within these areas are instantly recognizable to fans, including Master Roshi's house, Capsule Corporation, the Red Ribbon Army's base, the palace where the gods reside, and the venue for the World Martial Arts Tournament, among others. Combined with the promise of visitors being able to unleash Kamehameha waves, it's safe to assume that virtual reality (VR) experiences will likely play a significant role in the park.
One of the most intriguing features is the inclusion of a Capsule Corp. tower, rumored to be designed as a hotel with culinary delights, and boasting a considerable height, though it remains to be seen how closely it resembles its fictional counterpart.
In the manga, collecting all seven Dragon Balls grants any wish. While we can only speculate if the Saudi theme park will incorporate a similar design, it's not hard to believe that these affluent individuals have the means to fulfill even my modest desires.
