On March 30th, according to reports from multiple domestic media outlets, the Russian Far East region of Amur Oblast recently experienced sandstorm weather, turning the sky over the capital orange-red, with visibility reduced to zero in some areas.

Strong winds blew sand hundreds of kilometers away, forcing many drivers to detour during their journeys.

Experts remind residents that during sandstorm weather, it's advisable to stay indoors as much as possible and promptly close doors and windows. If necessary, use adhesive tape to seal doors and windows to prevent sand from entering indoors.

Meanwhile, methods such as wet mopping the floor and wiping with a damp cloth can be used for wet cleaning to keep the indoor environment clean and avoid suspended dust indoors.

When going out, personal protection is essential. Wear a mask to reduce respiratory damage caused by sand and dust. Since sandstorm weather may contain floating dust, inhalable particles, and fine particulate matter, it's recommended to wear N95 or higher protective masks.

Additionally, residents can wear windproof goggles to protect their eyes from harm. If sand gets into the eyes, avoid rubbing with hands and immediately rinse with flowing water or use eye drops. If discomfort persists, seek medical attention promptly. s_bbd4fc4d45444d8d97cce820dc71a6d6.png
