[CNMO Tech News] Details of the camera upgrade for Samsung's new generation foldable phone, the Z Flip6, have been revealed. Meanwhile, as the Unpacked event approaches, the phone is steadily passing regulatory approvals before its launch.
According to CNMO, the Samsung Z Flip6 has recently appeared on both the BIS and Camera FV-5 platforms, each independently revealing some details of this new foldable screen phone. BIS certification is a certificate required by the Indian authorities before electronic products can be launched, indicating that the Z Flip 6 is one step closer to its release and will be launched in the Indian market. Furthermore, the BIS certificate also confirms the model of the phone as SM-F741B.
In terms of the camera, the 50-megapixel main camera of the Samsung Z Flip6 has been confirmed. This news was rumored as early as August 2023 and indirectly confirmed by the Camera FV-5 platform. Data from this platform shows that the camera has a resolution of 12.5 million pixels and pixel merging technology, matching the 50-megapixel sensor.
In addition, compared to the current Samsung Z Flip5, the camera system of the Z Flip6 has seen a significant upgrade. The main camera of the Z Flip6 is equipped with electronic image stabilization (EIS) and optical image stabilization (OIS), featuring an aperture of f/1.8 and a focal length of 5.4mm. These features will further enhance the photography experience and image quality.
Samsung is planning to hold an Unpacked event in early July in Paris, where it is expected to announce the launch of two foldable phones, the Z Flip6 and Z Fold6. Additionally, Samsung may also unveil a new Galaxy Ring wearable device and an upgraded Galaxy Watch 7 series. As the event approaches, more information about the new products will be revealed.
