Samsung is set to unveil the next generation of foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, at its second Unpacked Event in early July. While the launch event is still a ways off, the US variant of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 has already surfaced on Geekbench, revealing some rather unexciting details. ?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdingyue.ws.126.net%2F2024%2F0420%2Ffb755269j00sc8eh0000bd000hs00a0g.jpg&thumbnail=660x2147483647&quality=80&type=jpg According to the Geekbench listings, the US version of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor. This comes as no surprise considering the company's traditional chipset strategy for foldable phones set to launch in the latter half of the year. It's rumored to share the same chipset as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, namely the Galaxy SoC's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

As for the scores, the US version of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 reportedly scored 15084 in Geekbench's GPU test, suggesting significant software optimization by Samsung, as the performance data even comes close to that of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. ?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdingyue.ws.126.net%2F2024%2F0420%2F8bafe035j00sc8eh0001ad000hs00ppg.jpg&thumbnail=660x2147483647&quality=80&type=jpg However, it's a bit disappointing to see the device equipped with only 8GB of RAM, especially considering that even Samsung's mid-range smartphones like the Galaxy A55 and Galaxy M55 come with 12GB of RAM. Some speculate that Samsung might increase the RAM capacity in this year's Galaxy Z Flip 6, but for now, it remains just a rumor.

As expected, the software on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is Android 14, while the upcoming foldable phones are anticipated to debut with One UI 6.1.1 for the first time. With over two months until the launch, Samsung still has time to make further optimizations and performance enhancements before the unveiling.

Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. Additionally, there are rumors of a Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE (Fan Edition) that could potentially save fans some money, also slated to make an appearance this year.
