The new OLED iPad Pro and iPad Air are set to be unveiled at Apple's "Let Loose" event next month, with these devices expected to bring some significant design changes to the product line. Apart from design, one of the key highlights of the "Pro" model will be the all-new OLED display. According to the latest reports, Apple's suppliers seem to be struggling to meet the company's high standards for display technology. This could potentially result in limited supply for the 11-inch model upon its release. ?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdingyue.ws.126.net%2F2024%2F0425%2Fcacc1565j00scghof0011d000hs009ug.jpg&thumbnail=660x2147483647&quality=80&type=jpg Display analyst Ross Young reports that the smaller 11-inch OLED iPad Pro may face supply constraints upon launch, possibly due to production issues with one of the display suppliers. Apple has designated Samsung and LG Display to produce OLED panels for the upcoming iPad Pro models, with LG being the only one able to meet the company's high quality standards. While LG has managed the task proficiently, Samsung has struggled to meet the required output, which could impact initial supply.

Previously, it was reported that Samsung's display manufacturing plant encountered technical problems while producing OLED panels for Apple. With Samsung facing production issues, LG has gained more business from Apple, with Samsung originally tasked to produce 11-inch panels while LG handles the production of 13-inch OLED displays.

Ross Young claims that Samsung faced technical issues with the dual-stack structure of OLED displays, a key component requested by Apple. It is reported that the 11-inch iPad Pro model is expected to face initial supply constraints, while the 13-inch model is not anticipated to have issues, with Samsung's technical problems expected to persist into next month.

Regarding the new OLED iPad Pro models, a fundamental design shift is expected, with thinner bezels and a possible adoption of glass material on the back. These devices will feature the new M3 chip for enhanced computing and graphics performance. Apart from the iPad Pro, Apple will also unveil the new iPad Air 6, with the new 12.9-inch model incorporating a mini LED display. As mentioned earlier, Apple is set to launch these devices on May 7th, so stay tuned.
