At the Galaxy global product launch event held in January this year, Samsung officially unveiled the new Samsung Galaxy S24 series smartphones, while also teasing a smart ring called the Galaxy Ring.
Reportedly, the Samsung Galaxy Ring will leverage AI technology to offer health tracking functionalities. Its design resembles that of a ring, housing numerous visible sensors on the inside.
During the MWC 2024 exhibition, Samsung's Head of Mobile Experience, Lu Taiwen, also revealed some details about the Samsung Galaxy Ring.
Lu disclosed that the Samsung Galaxy Ring can last 5-9 days on a single charge and can be charged using a pogo pin connector and a dedicated adapter.
In terms of features, the Samsung Galaxy Ring is equipped with various sensors that can track the user's blood oxygen saturation and sleep patterns. It's reported that this ring can also track heart rate, steps, and exercise status.
As time progresses, more information about the Samsung Galaxy Ring is starting to surface. Today, in a report by Pulsestacks, it's mentioned that the Samsung Galaxy Ring will be the first device to feature the all-new "SM-Q" series from Samsung, with the specific model being SM-Q500.
Prior to this, Samsung's wearable devices were designated with model numbers starting with "SM-R". For example, the model number for the Samsung Galaxy Buds 2 Pro headphones is "SM-R510", and for the 40mm Galaxy Watch 6, it's "SM-R930".
According to a previous report by pulsestacks, industry insiders disclosed that Samsung Electronics plans to produce 400,000 units of the first-generation Galaxy Ring.
The report suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Ring is a new product line set to be launched this year, with Samsung Electronics planning to adjust production based on market response.
Due to the small size of the product and no shortage of special parts lately, production is expected to continue uninterrupted even if demand exceeds expectations. Parts for the Samsung Galaxy Ring are expected to start production in May, with the new product set to debut in July alongside Samsung's next generation of foldable phones, with the earliest expected release in August.
Currently, there is also a lot of buzz surrounding Samsung's next generation of foldable screen phones. Samsung Electronics has recently passed 3C certification for two new models, namely the SM-F7410 and SM-F9560.
The certification indicates that both of these new models come equipped with the EP-TA800 charger, supporting a maximum charging power of 25W.
The certification information does not specify the specific device series, but speculation suggests that these two new models are the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6.
In terms of other configurations, leaked information suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 will feature a titanium metal body with Gorilla Glass Armor; a brighter Dynamic 2x 120Hz AMOLED display; powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy with a larger cooling system; a rear camera setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel lens, and a 10-megapixel camera; a built-in 4600mAh battery; support for 7 years of Android and security updates, along with Galaxy AI features.
Building on this, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 will offer three storage options: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB, with an expected price of $1799 (approximately 12990 Chinese Yuan).
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 is expected to come in two versions: one powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chip and the other by the Exynos 2400 chip. Both versions are anticipated to offer up to 12GB of RAM.
The external screen of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 is expected to feature a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will have a rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor and a 12-megapixel secondary sensor. Additionally, it will be equipped with a built-in 4000mAh battery.
