Last year, Apple didn't bring any updates to its iPad lineup, leaving many users wondering about this year's iPad refresh.
A recent leak suggests that Apple might unveil new iPad Pro and iPad Air models in the second week of May.

According to a report from Sina Technology today: "According to Ross Young, CEO of research firm DSCC, the 12.9-inch iPad Air is expected to be launched in May and will feature a Mini-LED display similar to the current 12.9-inch iPad Pro model."
It's reported that the current 10.9-inch iPad Air comes with a traditional LCD panel, but switching to Mini-LED technology will enhance the brightness of HDR content and achieve deeper blacks. Additionally, Mini-LED displays will also bring lower power consumption, extending the device's battery life.
Apple has incorporated Mini-LED display technology into its latest 12.9-inch iPad Pro model as well as the MacBook Pro notebook.
For reference, the screen of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro currently available from Apple features 2,596 full-array local dimming zones, a resolution of 2732 x 2048 pixels, 264 pixels per inch (ppi), a peak brightness of 1600 nits (HDR), and supports ProMotion adaptive refresh rate technology.
However, the screen upgrade also means a price hike.
According to current leaks, the 12.9-inch version of the iPad Air will be $200 more expensive, starting at $799 (approximately 5750 Chinese yuan). This will also mark the highest price ever for an iPad Air in Apple's history.
According to previous leaks, the camera design of the new iPad Air seems to be inspired by the iPhone X, featuring a prominent camera bump with a flash positioned below it.
Moreover, the new iPad Air is expected to be powered by Apple's M2 chip, supporting Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3.
