On April 30th, BYD Co., Ltd. recently filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recalls and the Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recalls.

Starting from May 20, 2024, a total of 16,666 seagull electric vehicles produced between April 7, 2023, and May 31, 2023, will be recalled.

Recall Batch: A total of 16,666 seagull electric vehicles produced between April 7, 2023, and May 31, 2023.

Reason for Recall: Some vehicles within the scope of this recall may have issues with the camera driver software in the multimedia display screen assembly, which could result in the reverse camera image not displaying properly. This could affect the driver's visibility while reversing, increase the risk of collisions, and pose a safety hazard.

Solution: BYD Co., Ltd. will provide free software upgrades for the affected vehicles within the recall scope through Over-the-Air (OTA) technology to ensure the normal display of the reverse camera image.

For vehicles that cannot be recalled through OTA technology, BYD Co., Ltd. will proactively contact the relevant users to provide free software upgrades to eliminate safety hazards. d0048249-898d-481d-aae1-34d574181995.png
