April 9th Update - Stroke, an abrupt neurological disorder once perceived as a health risk primarily for the elderly, is now showing a concerning trend of affecting younger demographics.

Recently, discussions ignited following the news of Sun Yalong, a 36-year-old former professional player of "League of Legends" and gaming livestreamer, being diagnosed with a stroke. s_dbb80e13e2fc471e9335451d2734bddb.jpg After being diagnosed with a stroke, all eyes turned to Sun Yalong, who took to Weibo to urge, "Don't think being young means you're invincible! Get enough rest! Exercise more! Eat healthily." s_375894c09b1340d2b7c5a6f8443d218b.png He also commented in the section, "I hope everyone is in good health, exercises regularly, and takes care of their bodies."

According to reports, on April 6th, Sun Yalong posted on Weibo saying, "Seeing double, numbness on the left side of my tongue and face, happens about every 5 minutes," and was rushed to the hospital emergency room.

Sun Yalong stated, "The doctors said these symptoms are typically seen in people over 50. It's ridiculous that I have them. Probably due to excessive fatigue, staying up late, and overall exhaustion."

Some fans revealed that Sun Yalong's job as a gaming streamer often involves staying up late and smoking.

In response, Sun Yalong clarified on Weibo: "I never drank alcohol, quit smoking, don't even cough anymore. The biggest issue is poor sleep quality." s_ee7461385ca44dd19f5c17e0a6f93ff9.png According to media reports, stroke, also known as "cerebrovascular accident," is characterized by five highs: high incidence, high disability rate, high mortality rate, high recurrence rate, and high economic burden.

Strokes occur suddenly, but often without early noticeable symptoms. Some patients may miss the optimal treatment window if they ignore the initial signs.

Experts emphasize that although stroke is a "silent killer," it is preventable and treatable. Early symptoms of stroke can be identified from sudden occurrences such as decreased limb balance, difficulty seeing objects, facial asymmetry, crooked mouth angle, numbness or weakness in one arm, and unclear speech.

Data shows that Sun Yalong represented the Chinese team in the 2008 Asia-Pacific Championships and Chinese Championships of "Dungeon & Fighter," and also won second place in the WCG "Dungeon & Fighter" Chinese Team Tournament. He later switched to "League of Legends," joining the IG team as a support player.
