On May 10th, the new book launch event of the "Blue Book of Informatization - Analysis and Forecast of China's Informatization Situation (20222023)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Blue Book of Informatization (20222023)") was successfully held.
Pan Jiaofeng, Director of the Institute of Science and Technology Strategy Consultation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, stated that the current surge of informatization and intelligence is sweeping the globe. In this era, compiling the "Blue Book of Informatization" is a strategic and practical task to keep pace with the forefront of world information technology, summarize China's informatization development experience, and assess the trends in informatization development, providing important reference value for the country's informatization development planning. In 2023, the Institute of Strategic Consultation was commissioned by the China Institute of Cyberspace Research to undertake the compilation of the "Blue Book of Informatization (2022~2023)." A specialized team was established, with over 70 high-level experts from across the country participating in the writing of the book, presenting a systematic overview of China's informatization development from 2022 to 2023.
Experts from the China Institute of Cyberspace Research pointed out that China is making strides from being a cyber power to a cyber powerhouse. Informatization has become a new driving force for China's economic transformation, innovation-driven development, and long-term sustainable growth. The "Blue Book of Informatization" is an annual publication on China's informatization development, characterized by strong originality, forward-looking insights, and authority, serving as an important window for domestic and foreign readers to comprehensively understand China's informatization development process.
Chen Zuoning, the chief editor of the "Blue Book of Informatization (2022~2023)" and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, delivered a speech and keynote address. Chen Zuoning pointed out that from 2022 to 2023, the global informatization process is accelerating, presenting both opportunities and challenges for China's informatization development, necessitating new perspectives, new ideas, and new solutions.
The "Blue Book of Informatization (2022~2023)" exhibits four main characteristics in its content: strategic focus, forward-looking analysis, thematic concentration, and professionalism. The book concentrates on national informatization and digital development strategic planning, advanced computing, 6G, future networks, quantum computing, and other cutting-edge information technology trends, addressing key themes in current informatization development and ensuring the book's professionalism and authority through detailed data, insights, and expert analysis.
Since its first publication in 2010, the "Blue Book of Informatization" has been released annually for 12 consecutive years, documenting the rapid development of informatization in China and playing an active role in enabling domestic and foreign readers to comprehensively understand China's informatization development. In recent years, the "Blue Book of Informatization" has become a representative annual research report in the field of China's informatization development, attracting widespread attention and receiving praise from various sectors of society.
The event was jointly organized by the China Institute of Cyberspace Research and the Institute of Science and Technology Strategy Consultation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with Zhang Feng, Vice President of the Institute of Science and Technology Strategy Consultation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, presiding over the meeting. Experts and scholars from the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Tsinghua University, and China Academy of Information and Communications Technology attended the event.
