Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen3: AI Powerhouse
The Snapdragon 8s Gen3's Qualcomm Kryo CPU boasts the same architecture as the Snapdragon 8 Gen3, but with a bumped-up clock speed of 3.0GHz. Where this chip really shines is in its AI capabilities.
Qualcomm boasts that the 8s Gen3 outperforms competitors by over 400% in object detection tests, and leads by margins of 280%, 100%, and 300% in language comprehension, image segmentation, and background blur tasks, respectively.
Furthermore, the 8s Gen3 supports AI-enhanced GPU features and large models with up to 100 billion parameters, including Baichuan-7B, Gemini Nano, Llama2, and ChatGLM.
The Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro will be the first device to feature this chip, followed by Redmi's upcoming Snapdragon 8s Gen3 device.
