Recently, a video of what appears to be a three-headed snake found on a university campus has sparked widespread dissemination and attention. It is reported that the involved university is Chengdu University of Arts and Sciences.

The circulated video shows a floral snake coiled in the underbrush under a tree, raising its head and facing off with a cat. During the encounter, the snake continuously makes attacking motions, frightening the students present who scream in response.

In the video, the snake appears to have "three heads," but due to limited video clarity, it is difficult to discern clearly.

After a period of confrontation, the cat turns and walks away. In another video segment, campus security personnel use specialized snake-catching tools to capture it.

Regarding the viral claim of a "three-headed snake," staff at Chengdu University of Arts and Sciences stated that the visual distortion was caused by issues with student's phone camera. "It's just an ordinary snake. It doesn't have three heads; the issue is with the student's phone camera, and the snake is moving, making the video blurry."

The staff member stated that it was discovered a few days ago, and the snake was captured by security.

It is understood that some snake species, when encountering danger, will raise the front part of their bodies and bend the front portion into an S shape. Under poor lighting conditions, the protruding part after bending can appear like another head.

It is reported that among snake species, no three-headed snakes have been discovered. Instances of snakes with two heads have occurred, but they are extremely rare conjoined occurrences. s_fd344aeb6506432cb56018832f5f7f12.jpg
