"Origin Wukong" achieves "Four Calculations in One"

Sat, May 11 2024 08:23 AM EST

Recently, China's third-generation self-developed superconducting quantum computer "Origin Wukong" was invited to join the Wuhu cluster computing power public service platform in the Yangtze River Delta. This marks the third supercomputing center where "Origin Wukong" has been connected online, following its invitation to the national supercomputing internet platform. It signifies the formal establishment of China's integrated system of general computing, intelligent computing, supercomputing, and quantum computing, known as the "Four Calculations in One."

Computing power is a new productive force in the digital economy. Whoever controls advanced computing power holds the "winning edge" in development.

"Origin Wukong" is China's third-generation self-developed superconducting quantum computer, equipped with 72 self-developed superconducting quantum chips. Developed independently by the Origin Quantum team, it went online earlier this year. As of May 5th, this programmable and deliverable superconducting quantum computer, currently the most advanced in China, has attracted over 7.77 million visitors from 119 countries worldwide, successfully completing over 178,000 computing tasks, showcasing its powerful computing capabilities and broad international recognition. Additionally, "Origin Wukong" has been equipped with China's first PQC (Post-Quantum Cryptography) "anti-quantum attack shield." From enhancing computing power to being "both offensive and defensive," this marks a more complete quantum computing manufacturing chain in China. ?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdingyue.ws.126.net%2F2024%2F0507%2F9dfbf8e9j00sd2q100125d000sg00fzg.jpg&thumbnail=660x2147483647&quality=80&type=jpg The domestically-produced superconducting quantum computer from Origin Quantum has been invited to connect to three supercomputing centers. Zhao Xuejiao, Deputy Director of the Anhui Quantum Computing Engineering Research Center, stated that the Origin Quantum has integrated with the Shanghai Supercomputer Center, the National Supercomputing Zhengzhou Center, and China Mobile Software Technology Co., Ltd. (China Mobile Cloud Capability Center) on the advanced computing platform that combines quantum and classical computing, which went online in August last year. In April this year, the Origin Quantum officially joined the national supercomputing internet platform.

The Wuhu cluster computing power public service platform in the Yangtze River Delta hub is a provincial-level unified computing power scheduling platform. It is a significant project to promote the service-oriented transformation of Anhui Province's computing resources starting from the Wuhu cluster. The Origin Quantum's quantum computer has successfully connected to the Wuhu cluster computing power public service platform in the Yangtze River Delta hub. This integration will effectively enhance the platform's breakthroughs in traditional computing and various industry applications, as well as its public service capabilities. It will fully link the computing power supply, application development, operational services, users, and other capabilities and resources in the industrial ecosystem, promoting the large-scale application of domestically-produced quantum computing power.
