On April 16th, the themed event "Setting Sail with HarmonyOS: HDD Zhejiang Station · HarmonyOS Native App Session," jointly hosted by the Zhejiang Software Industry Association and the School of Computer Science and Technology at Zhejiang University, and organized by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., with co-organization by the Zhejiang Information Technology Application Innovation Alliance and the Joint Research Base of Information Technology Innovation in Zhejiang, was held in Hangzhou. The event aimed to promote the deep development of the HarmonyOS ecosystem in Zhejiang Province and accelerate the enrichment and improvement of the application ecosystem. The event attracted nearly a hundred industry partners from various fields including healthcare, consumer finance, government affairs, and news media.

As of now, over 300 apps have joined the HarmonyOS ecosystem in Zhejiang Province. Nearly 20 apps announced the initiation of HarmonyOS native app development at the event, demonstrating the speed and determination of Digital Zhejiang. Sun Ziqiang, Deputy Inspector of the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology, Zhang Lvzheng, Chairman of the Zhejiang Software Industry Association and Chairman of Entrepreneurial Huikang Technology Co., Ltd., and Wang Yue, President of Huawei Terminal Cloud Developer Service and Platform Department, attended the meeting and delivered speeches.

As an economic powerhouse and innovation hub in China, Zhejiang Province's proactive response to the HarmonyOS ecosystem not only reflects local policies' support for innovation-driven development strategies but also demonstrates Zhejiang companies' keen insight into the application of new technologies. In February 2024, "Zhe Li Ban" and "Chao News" took the lead in initiating HarmonyOS native app development. At the "Setting Sail with HarmonyOS: HarmonyOS Launch Ceremony," nearly 20 new local Zhejiang apps announced the initiation of development. These include Zhejiang Second Hospital, Yongpai, Taizhou Bank, Zhe Li Jian, Entrepreneurial Huikang (Health Tongxiang), Fengshou Interconnection, Enterprise Interconnection, Orange Interactive, Reading Jia, Weipaitang, Handwriting Baton, Outstanding Green Park, Every Moment, Weiyi, and Beisheng. The addition of these apps not only enriches the HarmonyOS ecosystem but also enhances user experience based on the native intelligence, native interconnection, and native fluency features of HarmonyOS NEXT, meeting the diverse and high-quality application needs of users. afd4eb4a-843f-4bd7-af5a-5630f9c0adaa.jpg Zhejiang University Second Hospital, Weiyi, and other online medical service apps for registration, consultation, and inquiries can efficiently run and interact intelligently based on HarmonyOS NEXT's full-scenario interconnection, multi-distributed features, and native AI capabilities. Meanwhile, HarmonyOS's native extreme data security will ensure the comprehensive protection of patients' medical information. Zhejiang University Second Hospital, as the first national Grade A tertiary hospital and one of China's oldest large comprehensive public hospitals, actively shapes the paradigm of intelligent medical services. It establishes a benchmark for public Internet hospitals. Zhejiang University Second Hospital will collaborate with HarmonyOS to create a smart medical service ecosystem, providing users with more convenient and intimate medical health services throughout the entire process from pre-diagnosis to post-diagnosis with differentiated solutions tailored to the medical industry across all scenarios.

Applications such as Taizhou Bank, Fengshou Internet, and enterprise-connected consumer finance will leverage HarmonyOS's AI capabilities in the future to expand into more intelligent living scenarios while ensuring user safety and privacy. This will comprehensively enhance users' experience across various terminals, lifestyles, and scenarios.

Local government and livelihood applications like Zheli Jian and Chuangyehuikang (Health Tongxiang) will rapidly deploy across multiple terminals and scenarios with HarmonyOS's one-time development and multi-terminal deployment features. With its full-scenario interconnection, native intelligence, and cross-terminal collaboration, these applications will bring users a more convenient, native, and seamless government service experience.

News media applications such as Chaowen News, Yongpai, Chengshi Hudong, and Du Jia will provide users with more timely and professional news information and audio content. Through the HarmonyOS native version applications, users will enjoy more convenient and efficient information services, further enhancing their experience.

Local internet applications in Zhejiang, such as Weipaitang, Lianzibangbang, Zhuoyue Lv Yuan, Beisheng, and Meike, will provide more intelligent, proactive, and smooth services in e-commerce shopping, auction price comparison, new energy charging, calligraphy practice, and other life scenarios, meeting users' needs for strong interaction across multiple terminals.

The development of the HarmonyOS ecosystem also relies on talent support, with hundreds of universities collaborating with Huawei to cultivate HarmonyOS talent, totaling over 2.2 million HarmonyOS developers. Ren Kui, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Technology at Zhejiang University, stated, "For scientific research and development, HarmonyOS technology is of utmost importance. It provides us with a new research and development platform, allowing researchers to explore and innovate in broader fields. At the same time, the widespread application of HarmonyOS technology will also generate a series of new scientific research topics and directions, injecting new vitality into China's scientific and technological undertakings and having far-reaching impacts. The school will further strengthen cooperation with Huawei to promote the research and application of HarmonyOS."

Zhejiang's advantageous position in the digital economy field provides strong support for the prosperity of the HarmonyOS ecosystem. Meanwhile, the growth of the HarmonyOS ecosystem will further drive the vigorous development of Zhejiang's digital economy. Currently, the number of HarmonyOS ecosystem devices has exceeded 800 million, with over 4,000 domestic applications joining the native HarmonyOS ecosystem. In the future, Huawei will work hand in hand with partners and developers from various industries to build, create, and share a brand-new HarmonyOS ecosystem.
