On March 11th, Qualcomm announced that it will hold a product launch event on March 18th, where the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8S Gen3 platform will be officially unveiled.

Tech blogger Digital Chat Station hinted that Xiaomi will globally debut the Snapdragon 8S Gen3 platform. In addition to Xiaomi, brands such as OPPO, vivo, and Honor have also procured the Snapdragon 8S Gen3. s_a2a83160ec8c4fe69b87e14097128f25.png It's reported that the Snapdragon 8S Gen3 is manufactured on TSMC's 4nm process. Its CPU architecture consists of one Cortex-X4 super-large core clocked at 3.01GHz, four Cortex-A720 large cores clocked at 2.61GHz, and three Cortex-A520 small cores clocked at 1.84GHz.

The GPU is the Adreno 735, with a frequency likely above 900MHz, and its Antutu benchmark score is around 1.7 million.

Compared to the current flagship chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 has lower frequencies for its super-large, large, and small cores, positioning it as a slightly lower tier flagship SoC. But there's no need to worry about its performance.

Earlier reports suggested that the Xiaomi Civi 4 series would debut with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8S Gen3 platform. Digital Chat Station revealed that the first device featuring the Snapdragon 8S Gen3 will debut this month, indicating that Xiaomi will likely unveil the Civi 4 series by the end of the month. s_f19421aafbeb4a7991ef7b57fbbb4dce.jpg
