On April 13th, Changan Mazda unveiled a partial image of its upcoming pure electric rear-wheel drive sedan, showcasing its tail lights. The lights feature an integrated design with a semi-circular shape, and the internal light source forms a matrix pattern, giving it a refined and stylish appearance. However, it also bears a striking resemblance to previous designs.
Interestingly, today online surfaced a real photo of the car's taillight. Apart from featuring a through-style design, the light sources on both sides appear in a semi-circular shape, undoubtedly reflecting Mazda's family design language.
Although official details are still pending, leaked spy shots suggest that the vehicle is positioned as a sedan, featuring sleek lines and a notably elongated front end, with a lower front and higher rear, presenting an overall aggressive, forward-leaning stance.
It's reported that the new car is based on the Changan Blue SL03 platform, with increased dimensions. The front end adopts a completely new design language, distinguishing it from current Mazda sedans, while the overall size is also extended.
The car is expected to debut at the 2024 Beijing Auto Show. Upon release, it will succeed the Mazda Atz, named the Mazda EZ-6, with an anticipated price range of 180,000 to 220,000 CNY.
