On March 27th, Puffin Tech and Huawei held a signing ceremony for the development of HarmonyOS native apps, announcing the initiation of native app development for the Puffin APP based on HarmonyOS NEXT, the HarmonyOS Galaxy edition. The pure HarmonyOS apps will also be fully utilized in smart cameras produced by the collaboration between Huawei Smart Selection and Puffin Tech. It's understood that Puffin Tech is among the first batch of companies to collaborate with Huawei Smart Selection and has long received deep empowerment from Huawei Cloud, HiSilicon, and HarmonyOS Connect. This signing signifies a further step in the cooperation between the two parties in the HarmonyOS ecosystem and technological complementarity. 80b2dcef-1e92-40a6-bc94-c55c55b5e935.jpg HarmonyOS NEXT, commonly known as "Pure Hongmeng," features a completely self-developed foundation, eliminating traditional Linux kernels and AOSP Android open-source project code, supporting only the Hongmeng kernel and Hongmeng system applications. This is the result of Huawei's ten years of meticulous effort. In addition to the Albatross app, over 300 other applications have also signed contracts this time, further expanding the ecosystem of HarmonyOS NEXT.

Since 2017, Albatross Technology has been collaborating with Huawei. Formerly a provider of IoT platforms, it has accumulated deep expertise in audio and video development technology. Albatross's primary business now revolves around intelligent visual hardware terminals, with its intelligent camera products developed in cooperation with Huawei's Smart Selection serving millions of households. The "Huawei Smart Selection Albatross Smart Camera 4K Series" has consistently ranked as the top-selling 4K camera product. bc9f56b3-b740-46ec-94a8-195b6a26d717.jpg As a core partner in the Huawei ecosystem, Aves is among the first batch of companies to join the Huawei Smart Selection team and one of the earliest visual technology companies to integrate HarmonyOS. Back in 2020, Aves collaborated with HiSilicon and the HarmonyOS team to port HarmonyOS to visual terminals, leveraging the unique features of HarmonyOS to enable camera connectivity with HarmonyOS devices. For instance, cameras can serve as a third eye for smartphones, providing real-time visuals, and during video calls with family, the camera's live feed can be shared for family members to see. 9c8a5b84-449f-466a-ac2d-10759230e3c9.jpg Currently, HarmonyOS native applications have covered diverse fields such as convenient living, travel and tourism, financial management, social networking, news, productivity tools, audio-visual entertainment, and gaming, almost encompassing every aspect of users' daily lives. The signing of the contract between Haique and Huawei also signifies further strengthening of the HarmonyOS ecosystem's layout in the smart security field. It's worth noting that within the entire HarmonyOS ecosystem, smart visual terminals play an irreplaceable role, serving not only as guardians of home security but also as core devices for intelligent interaction and management.

Of particular mention is the report by Shenzhen Satellite TV on March 18, "Shenzhen Takes the Lead in Releasing Action Plan to Support the Development of Open Source HarmonyOS Native Applications," which featured a visit to Haique Technology, a core partner in the HarmonyOS ecosystem, vividly demonstrating the experience of Huawei Smart Selection Haique smart cameras interconnected with other HarmonyOS terminals. During the reporter's experience, it was observed that with the popularity of smart security, more and more people are installing cameras at home and at their doorsteps. With HarmonyOS Smart Link-enabled Haique smart cameras, after manual configuration, they automatically activate when the homeowner leaves, and when the camera at the doorstep detects the homeowner returning, the cameras at home automatically deactivate, providing all-round protection of the homeowner's privacy. 3670014c-747b-4f15-ba10-a595a8a6babd.jpg In the case of Huawei's HiLink Seagull smart camera, there are various ways to achieve smart home connectivity. For instance, through HarmonyOS HiLink, the Seagull smart camera can interact with Huawei speakers. When the camera detects a baby crying, it can trigger the speaker to play lullabies. Moreover, the Huawei HiLink Seagull smart camera can also connect with Huawei smart door locks, smart screens, and other HarmonyOS terminals, providing users with a truly intelligent home experience. e2fa977c-c0d5-4872-b3bb-f6f5dcb536a1.jpg With the release of the "Shenzhen Action Plan for Supporting the Development of Native HarmonyOS Applications in 2024," the support and development of native HarmonyOS applications will be further deepened. Looking ahead, in the smart home and smart security fields, the Huawei Choice Seascape Smart Camera equipped with native HarmonyOS applications, compared to ordinary cameras, offers six ultimate native experiences: native refinement, native ease of use, native smoothness, native security, native intelligence, and native interconnectivity. Among these, "security" is the core purchasing element of smart cameras. With a pure HarmonyOS foundation and in-house development across the board, it has a unique security advantage from the ground up.

The deepening collaboration between Seascape and the HarmonyOS ecosystem also means that the layout of the Huawei Choice Seascape Smart Camera in smart security and smart home applications will be further intensified, and we look forward to more intelligent and secure products from both parties.
