On March 27th, Puffin Tech and Huawei held a signing ceremony for the development of HarmonyOS native apps, announcing the initiation of native app development for the Puffin APP based on HarmonyOS NEXT, the HarmonyOS Galaxy edition. The pure HarmonyOS apps will also be fully utilized in smart cameras produced by the collaboration between Huawei Smart Selection and Puffin Tech. It's understood that Puffin Tech is among the first batch of companies to collaborate with Huawei Smart Selection and has long received deep empowerment from Huawei Cloud, HiSilicon, and HarmonyOS Connect. This signing signifies a further step in the cooperation between the two parties in the HarmonyOS ecosystem and technological complementarity.
HarmonyOS NEXT, commonly known as "Pure Hongmeng," features a completely self-developed foundation, eliminating traditional Linux kernels and AOSP Android open-source project code, supporting only the Hongmeng kernel and Hongmeng system applications. This is the result of Huawei's ten years of meticulous effort. In addition to the Albatross app, over 300 other applications have also signed contracts this time, further expanding the ecosystem of HarmonyOS NEXT.

Back in 2020, Aves collaborated with HiSilicon and the HarmonyOS team to port HarmonyOS to visual terminals, leveraging the unique features of HarmonyOS to enable camera connectivity with HarmonyOS devices. For instance, cameras can serve as a third eye for smartphones, providing real-time visuals, and during video calls with family, the camera's live feed can be shared for family members to see.
