(PRODUCT)RED hints at possible collaboration with Apple to launch a red version of the iPhone

(PRODUCT)RED has teased the release of a vibrant red iPhone 15 on social media, but no further details have been provided. The (PRODUCT)RED post on Twitter shows the red iPhone placed on top of a donut. It is certainly not the iPhone 15 Pro or any Pro model, nor is it the iPhone 15 Plus.

The only caption on Twitter reads, "An apple before the donut."

It has been around 8 months since the iPhone 15 series was launched, and while the teaser from the source is unusual, it could possibly be the first hint of a mid-cycle refresh. In recent years, Apple has typically introduced different color variants of the latest iPhone models six months after their initial September release.

In each case, the models released have been identical in features and price to the ones launched in September. However, Apple always introduces a new color option, often a vibrant one, like the yellow versions of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15. ?url=http%3A%2F%2Fdingyue.ws.126.net%2F2024%2F0501%2F69a8f801j00sct3cd00lzd000hs00nfg.jpg&thumbnail=660x2147483647&quality=80&type=jpg This trend began with the purple option introduced with the iPhone 12 update in 2021. In 2022, both the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro came in green.

The (PRODUCT)RED edition of the iPhone 15 follows this pattern, especially as it was launched in September 2023 without a red option initially.

Since the release of the (PRODUCT)RED iPod nano in 2006, Apple has collaborated with the (RED) charity organization. A portion of the sales from this product and subsequent (PRODUCT)RED Apple products is donated to support the Global Fund in its fight to end AIDS.
