On April 10th, Porsche revealed the prices for its new Taycan model and announced the commencement of pre-sales.
The lineup consists of seven configurations, ranging from 1.008 to 1.998 million CNY. Even the entry-level model costs over three times more than the top-spec Xiaomi SU7. Those who often tout, "Young people don't have to snatch the Xiaomi SU7; the Porsche Taycan is also great," can start preparing their funds for purchasing.
One month ago, the new Porsche Taycan was globally unveiled at the Porsche Experience Center in Shanghai, marking a mid-cycle refresh. While the exterior and interior changes are minimal, significant improvements have been made to the electric motors, chassis, and other components.
Across all models, there is now standard adaptive air suspension. However, the Active Ride suspension, capable of "dancing," is an optional package for the all-wheel-drive versions, albeit at a hefty price.
The entire lineup features an 800V high-voltage architecture and utilizes a two-speed gearbox. The power output starts at 320kW for acceleration, achieving 0-100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. The most powerful version, the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach package, is equipped with three motors boasting a maximum power of 815kW (for two seconds), reaching 0-100 km/h in just 2.2 seconds.
Furthermore, models equipped with the Sport Chrono package can activate the "Overboost Mode" with a single press, adding 120kW of power (exact figure varies by model) for a duration of 10 seconds.
The new car is equipped with a 105 kWh battery pack, achieving a WLTP-rated range of 693 km. It boasts a regenerative braking power of 400 kW and features a low drag coefficient of 0.22. During media tests at a speed of 120 km/h, the range extends to 587 km. It supports ultra-fast charging, with a maximum charging power of 320 kW, capable of charging from 10% to 80% in just 18 minutes.
