March 17th Update - At the China Electric Vehicle Symposium (2024), Xiaopeng Motors Chairman, He Xiaopeng, announced the launch of a brand new subsidiary brand, targeting the global market with models priced between 100,000 to 150,000 RMB.
Renowned automotive blogger, Han Lu, took to Weibo to share a set of spy shots featuring Xiaopeng's new brand's actual car models, unveiling intricate details of both the front fascia and the body.
From the real car photos, it's evident that the vehicle embraces a brand-new design language, distinctly different from the existing models of XPeng. The overall design leans towards sportiness, with the new Y-shaped headlights combined with the sporty kit at the front, looking sharp and aggressive.
He Xiaopeng stated that the new brand has finally reached the phase where it can be shared with the public.
He remarked that delving into car manufacturing reveals a massive market potential in the 100,000 to 150,000 price range. However, producing a car that excels in all aspects, equipped with our best autonomous driving capabilities, and still maintains a suitable profit margin is an exceedingly difficult task.
This requires companies to possess robust capabilities in scaling and systematization. Many competitors are exploring this price range, but so far, no brand has managed to offer the ultimate autonomous driving experience in this segment.
