Last night, FAW Toyota unveiled the interior images of the domestically produced Land Cruiser Prado for the first time, stating that "one can feel the exclusive power of the Land Cruiser Prado at first sight: safe, professional, and high-quality."
From the official images, the interior of the domestic Land Cruiser Prado adopts a predominantly horizontal and vertical design, giving it a rugged and robust visual appeal. It is equipped with a full LCD instrument panel and a floating central control screen, accompanied by a sunshade to prevent reflections on the windshield during nighttime driving, thereby ensuring driving safety.
Meanwhile, the new car is equipped with plenty of physical buttons, including those for the doors, multifunction steering wheel, below the central control screen, and in the gear shift area. It extensively utilizes black enamel materials, which are durable and easy to maintain, perfectly suiting its rugged off-road identity.
Although it comes with a hefty price tag, the car received 5,000 orders within the first hour of pre-sale, indicating that there are still many die-hard fans willing to foot the bill.
As for why people are buying this car, official research found that reliability ranked first, with over 85%; professionalism came in second at 75%; and resale value ranked third, reaching 71%.
According to the data, the vehicle is positioned as a mid-to-large-sized rugged off-roader. The domestic version remains consistent with the overseas models and will not be lengthened, with dimensions of 4920mm/1980mm/1860mm in length, width, and height respectively, and a wheelbase of 2850mm. Available paint options include platinum white, ink black, polar gray, and platinum bronze.
The base model seats 5, while the high-end model seats 6. All models except the base UN variant (which features manual fabric seats) come equipped with power-operated leather seats.
The top-tier model comes equipped with an electric sunroof, electric rearview mirrors, MTM Multi-Terrain Monitoring System, MTS Multi-Terrain Select driving assistance, HUD Head-Up Display, and in addition, the highest-spec model also features an onboard refrigerator.
The domestic version will be powered by a 2.4T turbocharged engine coupled with a hybrid system comprising an electric motor. The system boasts a combined maximum power output of 243 kW (330 horsepower) and peak torque of 630 Nm, with the transmission system paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
