Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo from TF International Securities recently tweeted his predictions on the upcoming Apple iPhone 16 series colors.
He mentioned that Apple might adjust the naming of colors, such as renaming white to Starlight, and these color names will remain consistent with existing models, but the actual colors experienced in hand may vary.
Ming-Chi Kuo's color predictions for the iPhone 16 series are as follows:
iPhone 16 Pro & Pro Max: Black, White (or Silver), Gray (speculated to be original color titanium metal), Rose
iPhone 16 & 16 Plus: Black, Green, Pink, Blue, White
For comparison, the colors of the Apple iPhone 15 series are as follows:
iPhone 15 Pro & Pro Max: Black Titanium, White Titanium, Original Titanium, Blue Titanium
iPhone 15 & 15 Plus: Black, Green, Pink, Blue, Yellow
From these comparisons, it can be seen that the main color change for the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max is replacing blue with rose, which may become a popular color this year; while the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus replace yellow with white.
In addition, the rear cameras of the iPhone 16 return to the vertical dual-camera design, a throwback to the past. The main reason for this vertical design is to make shooting spatial videos more convenient, which is very suitable for Apple Vision Pro headset users. This is also why the diagonal cameras of the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus do not support spatial videos.
