On April 23, at the ongoing Polestar Brand Night, the Polestar Phone was officially launched, positioning itself as the "AI flagship phone for the driver-vehicle ecosystem," priced at 7388 yuan.
In terms of hardware design, the Polestar Phone by Polestar's global design team in Gothenburg, Sweden, and the Meizu design team features a color scheme primarily in Polestar White, complemented by Swedish Gold accents inspired by seat belts and Brembo brakes. The frame is crafted from NP66 aerospace-grade aluminum, while the back cover uses AG glass with a frosted crystal finish. The central and bottom parts of the glass back panel are adorned with etching and silk-screen printing to create different textures for the Polestar logo.
In terms of the system, the device runs on Polestar Phone OS, featuring the same font as Polestar's car system, with applications categorized by function. The official emphasis is on the device's AI capabilities, supporting AI image search, image generation, knowledge queries, and the ability to summon related assistants using the "mBack" button.
In terms of car connectivity, Pulsestacks has noticed that this device supports Polestar Link for mobile-assisted vehicle OTA functions, allowing for booking of in-car upgrades. It also comes equipped with features such as "Infinite Album," "Address Copy Circulation," "Mobile App Full Screen Projection," "In-car Karaoke," "Global Gestures," and "Intelligent Voice Control." Additionally, the official announcement hints that Polestar cars will also support Apple Carplay in the future.
The device features a 6.79-inch 2K+ resolution screen from BOE, with a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate in a 21:9 aspect ratio, supporting 2160Hz PWM high-frequency dimming.
In addition, the device is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, featuring a 50-megapixel OV50H main camera (with OIS optical image stabilization), a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens; it has a built-in 5050mAh battery and supports 80W wired charging + 50W wireless charging.
