On May 28th, Beijing Xunwei Electronics announced the launch of a Loongson 3A6000 development board, starting at 5868 RMB.
According to the official information, this board is equipped with the domestically produced Loongson 3A6000 processor, LOONGARCH independent instruction set, adopting the ATX motherboard standard, with the core board and base board being 100% domestically produced, using the 7A2000 bridge chip, and supporting the expansion of more interfaces.
It is reported that this development board includes two form factors: ATX and uATX, with options for 8+128GB version (SSD) and 16+256GB (SSD), starting at 5868 RMB.
In late November last year, Loongson released the 3A6000 processor, which adopts a domestically designed instruction set and architecture, eliminating the need for any foreign licensed technology. It represents a new generation of general-purpose processors independently developed and controlled by China.
The Loongson 3A6000 is capable of running various cross-platform applications, catering to a wide range of large and complex desktop application scenarios.
Its release marks a new height for China's independently developed CPUs in terms of autonomy and product performance, reaching the level of mainstream international products. According to test results, the overall performance of the Loongson 3A6000 processor is comparable to Intel's 10th generation Core i3 quad-core processor released in 2020.
