On March 9th, the Paris Organizing Committee officially announced that the highly anticipated Olympic Games opening ceremony will commence at 7:30 PM local time on July 26th.
At that time, Paris will be in daylight saving time, with a 6-hour difference from Beijing. Domestic viewers will be able to enjoy the opening ceremony, which unfolds on the Seine River, at 1:30 AM on the 27th.
According to the Paris Organizing Committee's plan, the opening ceremony will unfold along the Seine River against the backdrop of the setting sun's glow.
Athletes will embark on a cruise from Ostritz Bridge, heading westward towards Trocadéro Square on the opposite side of the Eiffel Tower, covering a distance of 6 kilometers, to attend the celebratory ceremony held there.
Along the journey, there will be art performances, and 12 paintings showcasing the cultural heritage of Paris and France will be exhibited.
In total, approximately 180 boats will partake in the opening ceremony, with 94 designated for transporting athletes.
The Paris Olympics will be held from July 26th to August 11th, followed by the Paralympics from August 28th to September 8th.
Recently, the official medal design for the games was unveiled, drawing inspiration from the iconic Paris landmark, the Eiffel Tower. Each medal features a centerpiece embedded with original construction materials sourced from the Eiffel Tower itself.
Notably, these medals were crafted by the renowned French designer Philippe Starck, known for his work on the Xiaomi MIX series. His contributions to the breathtaking aesthetics of full-screen displays and ceramic bodies are noteworthy.
