On May 1st, it was reported that micro-dramas are currently very popular, bringing in a market scale of billions and attracting a considerable number of professionals.
According to CCTV Finance, there are currently over 30,000 fixed employees in the micro-drama industry in Zhengzhou. The reason why so many people are engaged in this industry in Zhengzhou is that production companies in Zhengzhou offer prices 10-20% lower than those in other cities, which presents a clear advantage for many copyright holders and investors.
Moreover, these companies have rich experience in production teams and actors. Coupled with mature filming bases and diverse shooting locations, many micro-drama crews can "move in with just their bags".
A media company executive mentioned in an interview that regardless of the type of scene required, Zhengzhou can almost meet all demands locally.
With the rapid increase in micro-drama production capacity, a large number of high-quality actors and directors have entered the Zhengzhou market, which is beneficial for further enhancing the quality of short dramas.
In terms of income, a director explained that the lead actors in micro-dramas can earn relatively high incomes, starting from 2000 yuan per day, with rates increasing further. For crew members, the basic daily wage is around 500 yuan, also calculated on a daily basis.
Currently, there are over 290 micro-drama companies in Zhengzhou, with fixed staff alone reaching 30,000 people. Some idle property showrooms and sales offices in the city are also being utilized for filming purposes.
