The owner reclined the driver's seat flat, covered their face with a white cloth, while someone in the back seat provided a "head spa" for the owner.
With the vehicle entirely controlled by the autonomous driving feature, the owner merely placed their fingers on the steering wheel, making the entire video look particularly perilous.
Reportedly, the Ideal L-Series' most advanced Intelligent Driving Max 3.0 version features full-scenario intelligent driving capabilities, capable of recognizing traffic lights for start and stop, supporting entering and exiting roundabouts, and navigating through congested scenarios.
However, its intelligent driving system has not reached the level of fully autonomous driving; it remains an advanced driver-assistance system, requiring drivers to constantly monitor road conditions.
Practices like the one mentioned in the previous text pose significant safety risks both inside and outside the vehicle.
Ideal Motors officials have previously stated that behaviors such as lying down to watch shows while using the driver-assistance system or attempting to create an illusion of "autonomous driving," or even leaving the driver's seat during operation, are strongly discouraged.
At this stage, Ideal Motors emphasizes that it is still an assisted driving system, not an autonomous one. The driver remains the primary responsible party for the vehicle and must keep their hands on the steering wheel, ready to take control at any time.
